Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for the complete operations, sales volume, and profitability of the total store. Provides leadership and supervision for the Assistant Manager and store personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Delegate through others. Set an example for the store.

  • Communicate with employees, customers, and corporate officials

  • Uphold company policies and procedures

  • Allocate a monthly budget for department work schedules

  • Process reports identify needs and create a plan

  • Evaluate current employees, coach and counsel when warranted

  • Implement training procedures to develop new employees and create development plans

  • Practice and teach customer service techniques and drive service level (Develop Exceptional Service)

  • Merchandise the sales floor to drive sales

  • Shop the competition/keep abreast of fashion trends

  • Work in conjunction with Loss Prevention Department to monitor financial department, stockroom, fitting rooms, etc. for security concerns

  • Promote the image of Hamrick's by practicing good public relations

  • Daily accountability of sales performance

  • Personnel motivation and team building

  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Organization and time management skills required

  • Work a flexible schedule

  • Ability to bend, stoop and stand for extended periods of time

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis

  • Strong Leadership and People Development

  • 10+ years of managing a retail apparel, shoes and home décor store required

  • 4+ years of managing a Big Box store

Required Experience
  • 4+ years of retail management/leadership in a Big Box Store

Required Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent
