Summary

The Senior Area Lead is responsible for the complete operations of a specific group (multiple) of departments, while also providing additional support to the store as a Key Holder; provide leadership and direction for sales associates within the area-flexing workload to maintain each area as business needs dictate; report to and receive direction from store management.

Responsibilities

Responsible for daily accountability of sales performance in multiple departments.
Provides vision and delegation of duties to associates; flexes associates workload based on the needs of the business.
Monitors multiple departments for attractive merchandise displays, proper signage, promotional setup, timely price changes and overall cleanliness.
Trains, develops and motivates associates to maximize performance.
Works 2 nights per week as Manager on Duty closer. Directs and oversees store staff, performs closing duties, and ensures safety of staff and premises.
In the event of management absence (vacations, illness...) assumes increased role as needed for store coverage.
Upholds company directives, policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Physical demands of the job: bending, stooping, climbing, lifting (up to 25 lbs.) and standing for long periods of time.

Required Experience

1+ years of retail experience (supervision) preferred.

Required Education

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
