Summary
Looking for a candidate with Degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Textiles or Art Background Preferred. Proficiency sketching in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and using Gerber PLM Critical eye for color approval and print colorway development. (No Remote Work)
Responsibilities
- 
                                                
Collaborate with design team on seasonal color boards
 - 
                                                
Be trend aware - Research trends, critical ability to identify and interpret trends and translate to commercial success
 - 
                                                
Be up-to-date on current fashion trends and consumer preferences
 - 
                                                
Understand our unique target customer
 - 
                                                
Have excellent organization skills and time management, be detail oriented, and thrive in a fast paced environment
 - 
                                                
Communicate effectively with pattern maker and manufacturing team to address design-related questions
 - 
                                                
Maintain accurate design records and assist with organization of design department including update design libraries, sample archives, and material references
 - 
                                                
Approve strike offs and lab dips on time for production timelines
 - 
                                                
Have a working knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, garment fit
 - 
                                                
Source and develop new fabrications based on market trends
 - 
                                                
Track and meet garment development timelines for production
 - 
                                                
Occasional travel as required
 
Qualifications

Physical demands of the job: requires good vision and manual dexterity; sitting; standing; long periods of computer use
 
Required Experience
-                                 
                                                
Have minimum 5 years experience in product development or apparel design, preference to those with experience in Ladies Apparel.
 
Required Education

Degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Textiles or Art Background Preferred
