Job Summary: Responsible for the receipt and processing of incoming invoices.
 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • On a daily basis process miscellaneous and advertising accounts payable invoices 
  • Run and reconcile various A/P and A/R reports on the computer
  • Prepare and process daily deposit slips for wholesale 
  • Ensure payment and post commissions paid to salesmen
  • Maintain assignment sheets and documentation for checks issued to factors
  • Prepare Ready To Wear month end reports
  • Monthly close out accounts receivable and report transactions
  • Review and process fixed asset purchases
  • Maintain miscellaneous accounts payable invoice files
  • Proof retail and wholesale checks and stamp mail for distribution
  • Prepare and balance various end of month reports
  • Maintain wholesale accounts receivable files
  • Run tapes on invoices that come in mail
  • Perform other duties as needed by management
 
Special abilities, required skills, or education needed to perform the essential job functions: Two plus (2+) years of bookkeeping and/or accounts receivable experience preferred.

Physical demand of the Job: Must be physically capable of operating all office equipment.
